SUBJECT: DCMS PTO eNews 2.8.2024 (Final Days to Order Yearbook, 7th/8th Grade Dance Details + More!)
Principal's Desk: Highlights and Updates
Dear DCMS Families,
It's that time of year again – course request time! A few weeks ago we gathered course requests from the 7th and 8th graders for the upcoming academic year. We're also engaging with our future 6th graders from Redfield and DCES to continue this process.
With the valuable information collected, we're gearing up to develop the schedule for the next academic year. Despite the planned reduction in staff, we're committed to offering as many electives as possible to enhance the student's educational experience.
And a quick reminder – the 6th Grade Social is happening this Friday! It's a fantastic opportunity for our incoming 6th graders to connect and get excited about the upcoming school year.
Thank you for your cooperation and support as we navigate through this exciting phase of academic planning.

Meet Jack! Very sweet boy who loves frisbee🐾🐾
Hi, my name is Jack and I recently just came back to Foothills Animal Rescue after being adopted. My mom had to give me up because she was losing her home. She hopes that I find a new home that is as loving as she was. I hope so too! I'm a very sweet boy who loves attention and will be right by your side whenever I can be. I love to play, frisbees are my favorite!! I like to play with other dogs too, big or small. However, sometimes I can be protective of my favorite toys, especially bones, and of my food. If you do have a doggo of your own, please bring them with you for a meet and greet before taking me home. I have been in a home with a cat before and I was very interested in it- but my mom never let me interact a lot with it. If you have a cat, the shelter staff can discuss proper introductions with you when you come to meet me. My mom told the staff that I'm crate trained, but still need someone willing to continue my regular training and potty training with me. I would be a great hiking or running buddy and do well when I walk on my harness. I'm looking for a fun-loving and energetic household. If that's you, come meet me today!
Interested in Jack? Check out Foothills Animal Rescue at foothillsanimal.org to make an appointment and meet her!
